Barakah Nasrid Plaque

This piece is found within the Nasrid Palace of Alhambra.

Although small in size, it features geometry, vinal/floral, and calligraphic art. The vinal growth circulating the piece has the phrase: "la illaha ilallah" (there is no God but Allah) written repeatedly. The centre of the plaque holds a distinct 8 point geometric star, which houses the word "barakah" (blessing).

The meaning behind the words and patterns featured on this piece speak volumes. In essence, this artwork emphasises that all blessings are from God alone. Furthermore the actual realisation in the belief in one God, is the most important blessing bestowed unto mankind.
