1. GENERAL

These Terms & Conditions apply to all products and services supplied by Alhambra Designs Ltd, including website purchases, made-to-order products and bespoke commissions.

By placing an order, customers agree to the Terms & Conditions made available prior to purchase, together with any additional conditions specified in their quotation or invoice.

All orders are subject to acceptance by Alhambra Designs Ltd.

2. PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS

Our products may incorporate traditional craftsmanship, handcrafting, specialist machinery and hand-finishing.

Natural variations in timber, plaster, stucco and other materials, including differences in grain, colour and texture, are characteristic of these materials and do not necessarily constitute defects.

Product photographs, samples and digital visualisations are intended to illustrate the design and appearance. Minor variations may occur due to natural materials, lighting and manufacturing processes.

All products will be supplied in accordance with their agreed descriptions and specifications.

3. PRICES AND PAYMENTS

All prices are quoted in the currency stated on the website, quotation or invoice.

Full payment is required for standard website purchases unless otherwise agreed.

Bespoke commissions may require a deposit or staged payments, as specified in the quotation or invoice.

All outstanding balances must be paid in full and received in cleared funds before dispatch or collection.

Alhambra Designs Ltd reserves the right to withhold dispatch until all contractually due payments have been received.

4. BESPOKE AND CUSTOM ORDERS

Bespoke products are manufactured or customised according to the customer's individual requirements.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate dimensions, specifications and design requirements.

Where designs or drawings are supplied for approval, production will proceed according to the agreed specifications.

Changes requested after approval may incur additional charges and revised production times.

5. CANCELLATION OF BESPOKE ORDERS

Bespoke products manufactured to individual specifications or clearly personalised requirements are generally excluded from statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights where permitted by law.

Once production has commenced, cancellation may result in substantial costs.

Where cancellation is requested without a legal entitlement to a full refund, Alhambra Designs Ltd reserves the right to recover reasonable losses arising from cancellation, including design work, materials, manufacturing, labour and non-recoverable supplier commitments.

Deposits and advance payments are not automatically refundable once bespoke production has commenced.

Any cancellation request must be submitted in writing and will be assessed according to the work undertaken, costs incurred and applicable legal requirements.

6. PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY TIMES

All quoted production and delivery timeframes are estimates and subject to change.

Production times may vary due to order complexity, material availability, supplier delays, workshop schedules or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customer-requested design changes may extend production times.

Alhambra Designs Ltd will make reasonable efforts to meet estimated completion dates and communicate significant delays.

7. COMPLETION, INSPECTION AND FINAL APPROVAL

Upon completion of a bespoke order, customers will be provided with photographs or other appropriate means to inspect and review the finished products prior to dispatch.

Any concerns or discrepancies must be raised during this review stage.

Once the customer provides written approval and the outstanding balance is paid in full, the order will be deemed approved and the manufacturing stage complete.

Final approval constitutes acceptance of the product's visible appearance, finish and agreed specifications as presented for inspection.

Any subsequent requests for alterations or design changes may be subject to additional charges at the discretion of Alhambra Designs Ltd.

All outstanding payments must be received in cleared funds before dispatch.

8. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Shipping costs will be stated at checkout or confirmed in the quotation or invoice.

Where an order includes multiple components, Alhambra Designs Ltd may arrange consolidated shipping unless otherwise agreed.

Requests for separate shipments may incur additional charges.

International customers may be responsible for applicable import duties, customs charges and local taxes, as confirmed in the agreed delivery arrangements.

Customers must provide accurate delivery information.

9. TRANSIT DAMAGE

All products are packaged with reasonable care prior to dispatch.

Any damage occurring during transit should be reported to Alhambra Designs Ltd promptly, with photographs of the damaged goods and packaging.

Customers should retain the original packaging where reasonably possible.

Where applicable, transit damage claims will be submitted to the relevant shipping provider or insurer.

Insurance claims are subject to the relevant provider's terms and conditions. Any statutory rights against Alhambra Designs Ltd remain unaffected.

10. RETURNS

All returns and refunds are assessed according to the product type, reason for return and applicable consumer rights.

For eligible UK consumer distance purchases, customers generally have 14 days from delivery to notify us of their intention to cancel and a further 14 days to return the goods.

Returned products should be securely packaged and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Customers are responsible for return postage for change-of-mind returns where this was disclosed before purchase.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service.

11. REFUNDS

Refunds will be processed following receipt of returned goods or confirmation of cancellation, in accordance with applicable statutory requirements.

Where legally permitted, deductions may be made for diminished value resulting from excessive handling.

For bespoke orders, refunds and cancellation charges will be assessed in accordance with Section 5.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

12. EXCEPTIONS

The following products may be excluded from ordinary change-of-mind returns where permitted by law:

• Products manufactured to individual customer specifications.

• Clearly personalised or customised products.

• Other products covered by a lawful statutory cancellation exception.

These exclusions do not apply where customers have a legal right to a remedy for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods.

Sale and discounted items remain subject to applicable statutory rights.

13. INSTALLATION AND SUITABILITY

Unless expressly stated in the quotation, installation is not included.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that supplied measurements and intended installation locations are suitable.

Our decorative products must not be assumed to be structural or load-bearing unless expressly confirmed in writing.

Any special performance or certification requirements must be agreed before manufacture.

14. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES

Customers should submit any concerns in writing to sales@alhambradesigns.co.uk, including relevant order details and supporting photographs where appropriate.

Alhambra Designs Ltd will review complaints and seek an appropriate resolution in accordance with the contract and applicable law.

15. LIABILITY AND STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability or consumer rights where doing so would be unlawful.

This includes applicable rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation and death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable in other jurisdictions.

For business customers, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed in writing.
