The Alhambra Pillar

This unique piece is a to scale replica of a pillar featured within the Alhambra palace in Granada.

The piece features the 'muqarnas' decorative element.
Muqarnas is significant in Islamic architecture, because its elaborate form is a symbolic representation of universal creation by God.

This piece is carved in solid stucco and takes the form of half a pillar, as displayed on the pillar wall in the Alhambra (see pictures).
